Terms & Conditions
A legal disclaimer
The explanations and information provided on this page are only general and high-level explanations and information on how to write your own document of Terms & Conditions. You should not rely on this article as legal advice or as recommendations regarding what you should actually do, because we cannot know in advance what are the specific terms you wish to establish between your business and your customers and visitors. We recommend that you seek legal advice to help you understand and to assist you in the creation of your own Terms & Conditions.
Terms & Conditions - the basics
Having said that, Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) are a set of legally binding terms defined by you, as the owner of this website. The T&C set forth the legal boundaries governing the activities of the website visitors, or your customers, while they visit or engage with this website. The T&C are meant to establish the legal relationship between the site visitors and you as the website owner.
T&C should be defined according to the specific needs and nature of each website. For example, a website offering products to customers in e-commerce transactions requires T&C that are different from the T&C of a website only providing information (like a blog, a landing page, and so on).
T&C provide you as the website owner the ability to protect yourself from potential legal exposure, but this may differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, so make sure to receive local legal advice if you are trying to protect yourself from legal exposure.
What to include in the T&C document.

The prices at Tukulor apartments are subject to availability and the time of year.
Payment
It will be necessary for you to provide your payment card details to secure an apartment, product or service. The payment card may be used to take a deposit, as a guarantee for future payment, in the case of a no-show, damages, a cancellation or a change to the reservation in accordance with our cancellation’s procedure. By providing your card details you authorise Tukulor Apartments to obtain payment for the purpose of payment or the reservation of an apartment.
If the requested deposit is not paid in time, Tukulor Apartments reserve the right to cancel the booking without liability to the customer.
Tukulor Apartments will take card details from ALL guests, regardless of whether they intent to pay by cash or card. This is for security reasons and to avoid fraudulent bookings. We are unable to take reservations that are not supported by card details.
Please note that we also collect card details upon check-in to cover any potential damages during your stay. If you provided a credit or debit card at the time of booking, you must present that same card at check-in, along with valid photo identification. This process is critical for security and the name on the card must match the name provided at the time of booking. If you do not have this card with you on arrival, you will be asked to pay using another credit/debit card and the original payment card will be refunded.
Failing to provide a valid credit/debit card or valid identification, entitles our reception team to refuse check-in without refund.
The sub-letting of apartments or rooms for third parties is strictly forbidden, this will result in the booking being cancelled and the full amount of the booking being charged and the guests ejected from the premises.
Check-In
Check-In is from 8am to 17.00 pm, 7 days per week. Any check-in outside of these hours is by prior arrangement only.
Departure

Tukulor Apartments has the right to pre-authorise your credit card for the full reservation amount, 72 hours prior to arrival.

No cancellations are accepted after check-in, the full cost of the booking will be deemed payable.

In the unlikely event that a guest cannot be accommodated due to overbooking or other unforeseen circumstance, Tukulor Apartments will attempt to accommodate those guests, at its expense, at a local comparable Guest House.

Generally speaking, T&C often address these types of issues: Who is allowed to use the website; the possible payment methods; a declaration that the website owner may change his or her offering in the future; the types of warranties the website owner gives his or her customers; a reference to issues of intellectual property or copyrights, where relevant; the website owner’s right to suspend or cancel a member’s account; and much, much more.
